White – additional teams ? High School JV Race (per gender) is for additional high school athletes with a max of 20 total entries between the Varsity and JV races. There is no team scoring or awards in the JV races. ? All College and High school coaches will indicate their race preference and enter projected seed times for their top five runners with their intent to enter by August 14th ? Final Race assignments will be posted on the website www.paulshortxcrun no later than Monday, September 24th ? A max of 10 athletes will be allowed in the scored divisions for college and high school (Gold, Brown, and White) with any entries over 10 competing in the Open or JV races

PIAA Foundation X-C Invitational Registration will begin at 7:30 AM at the gray trailer located at the finish area, which can be accessed from Hockersville Road, adjacent from the starting area of the Parkview Cross Country Course. Registration packets will contain all entries, names, timing chips, and member schools, by classification, with starting line assignments. The course will be open from 7:30 AM until the end of the last race on Saturday. All tents and equipment must be removed by 4:00 PM. Race times are as follows: WHITE GIRLS 9:00 am BLUE GIRLS 9:45 am GOLD GIRLS 10:30 am WHITE BOYS 11:15 am BLUE BOYS 12:00 pm GOLD BOYS 12:45 pm JV GIRLS 1:30 pm JV BOYS 2:15 pm Runners must wear the proper uniform in accordance with NFHS Cross Country Rules and PIAA Adoptions. All teams will be clerked at the starting line for proper compliance with those rules by a PIAA-Registered Track and Field/Cross Country Official. All decisions of race officials are final and are not subject to appeal. Parking: School vans, buses, and cars will be restricted to parking as designated by HERSHEY PARK Security. Signage will be placed along HERSHEY PARK Drive to assist schools, spectators, media, and race officials in directing them to their respective parking area. Awards - The top two (2) teams in each race will receive championship and runner-up awards, respectively. Also, the top twenty (20) individuals will receive medals signifying their top twenty-finish in each race. JV races will be limited to 10 runners per school. The top 20 finishers will receive an appropriate recognition of their finish. Awards will be held behind the starting area at the Parkview Cross Country Course.

Thirtieth Annual Abington HS Invitational Cross Country Meet to be run on Saturday, September 8, 2018. The High School Invitational will feature six races- a boys and girls varsity race (limit 7 runners per team), a boys and girls JV race (unlimited and scored) and a boys and girls Novice race (unlimited and scored). A team must enter 5 runners in the varsity race before any entrants will be accepted into the JV race. Coaches must submit the roster by the following deadline Thursday September 6 @ 11:59 PM at PennTrackXC at pa.milesplit.us/. Go to Meet Calendar and click on event and add athletes. The invitational this year will be NFHS sanctioned for the following states, PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, and VA. The course will be approx. 5,000 meters in length and almost all grass with only two roads to cross. The course features three hills and only one repeat loop near the finish. Spectators can view about 1/2 of the race with a minimum amount of movement.
