Congratulations to Kyle Sullivan and Liam Griffith who will represent NHS Golf @ District 1 Individuals on 10/8!  Great Job!

Great job today, as NHS defeated Lower Moreland 218 - 247.  Top score of 41 for Liam Griffith, followed by Jack Buckard - 42; Evan Menz - 42; Kyle Sullivan - 46; Will Kelley - 47.  Everyone has contributed to the team's success (8-2 this season).  Our final regular season match is this coming Monday Oct 1 @ Heron Glen vs Christopher Dock. 

Four of our players will represent the NHS at the BAL League Championship this Wed the 26th at Makefield Highlands; Jake Menz  Liam Griffith, Evan Menz  and Kyle Sullivan.  They will tee off vs.  some tough competition at 8AM - Makefield Highlands.  Let's wish them much success!

Lions Varsity Golf with another strong showing at 217-284 vs. Jenkintown.  Top scorers for NHSD were:

Kyle Sullivan - 43

Jake Menz - 44

Jack Buckard - 48 (nice birdie on the 9th!)

Next up today is a tough match vs. Christopher Dock.

The Varsity Lions Golf Team put up some very strong scores vs. a top ranked Holy Ghost Team.  While Ghost outscored NHS by combining for an amazing 191 (including three players who scored below 40 - one with an impressive score of 32!), the Lions improved from 222 at our last match to 216.  Top scorers were Kyle Sullivan (41), Liam Griffith (42), Jake Menz (44), Jack Buckard (45), Evan Menz (45).  If we can continue to combine for similar scores, a successful remaining season awaits.  Our next match is Wed September 5th vs. Jenkintown at our home course of Heron Glen.  Great job, team!

Great job by Varsity Lions Golf Team in home opener at Heron Glen on August 23.  The team split a challenging Tri-Match vs. Delaware County Christian and Holy Ghost Prep.  NHS came in at 222, as opposed to 199 for Ghost and 273 for DelCo.  Leading scorers for the Lions were:  Evan Menz (41), Kyle Sullivan (44), Liam Griffith (44), Jake Menz (46), and Matt Bracco (47).  Upcoming matches for the week include Lower Moreland and a rematch with Holy Ghost.  

Kyle Sullivan was successful in winning the District 1- 2A Individual Championship with strong scores of 83 and 88.  He will now advance to the Eastern Regionals next Monday the 15th @ Golden Oaks CC.  What a great job and excellent accomplishment!

The Lions Team (Kyle Sullivan, Liam Griffith, Jake Menz, Jack Buckard, and Evan Menz) just played at the District 1 (2A) Championship this past Tuesday the 9th vs. Pope John Paul II HS (out of Royersford).  The boys did well, scoring a combined 351 (top 4 scores), but just fell short to a very talented PJP squad, which scored 340.

Individuals - Liam and Kyle both qualified for this event and did very well.  KyleSullivan  was successful in winning the District 1- 2A Individual Championship with strong scores of 83 and 88.  He will now advance to the Eastern Regionals next Monday the 15th @ Golden Oaks CC.  What a great job and excellent accomplishment!

Overall, we had a fantastic season; some highlights:

• 9-2 overall (everyone contributed to this success).
• Won the BAL (Bicentennial Athletic League) 2A Title.
• Sent 4 players to BAL Championship
• 3 players ended up in Top 7 of 24 from BAL
• Liam and Kyle advanced to Districts (with Kyle advancing as noted above)
• Our Top 5 scorers gave a great effort at Districts.

The team will be very solid next year and more success will be attainable.

So, let's all wish Kyle best of luck at the upcoming Regional Championship and be proud of our great team!

The Varsity Lions Golf Team defeated Dock Mennonite 215-247.  Top scorers - Liam Griffith with another strong showing (after qualifying for Individual Districts last week) with a score of 40.  Senior, Captain Jake Menz with a solid 42.  Kyle Sullivan also with a 42 (will play in individual Districts as well).  Evan Menz with 43 and Will Kelley with 46.

All season long, the entire team has contributed, including - Lear Asplundh, Will Renson, Matt Bracco, Patrick Reidy, and Jack Buckard.  As a result, the Lions finished the regular season at 9-2 (only two losses were to Holy Ghost).  The team will take 5 players to the upcoming District Championship at Turtle Creek on 10/9. 

Both Kyle and Liam will compete as individuals within the District on 10/8.
